About

Hi, I’m Sarah!

If you do not already know me you might be wondering who I am, so here is a little bit about me. From an early age my parents encouraged me to spend quality time outdoors and to appreciate the natural world around me. They would take me on trips to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, to the shores of Lake Michigan and along the Upper Peninsula, and to the islands of Hawai’i where we would enjoy time camping, hiking, and reveling in the natural beauty of those places. I grew up in the city of Cambridge, MA never quite feeling like I belonged. It wasn’t all bad, I formed many wonderful friendships growing up in Cambridge, but always felt more in touch with myself while exploring the natural world.

As my high school years were coming to a close, my experiences with the natural world as a child greatly influenced the next chapter of my life. I chose to study Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with the idea that I could turn my love of the outdoors into a career someday. Post graduation I have had a number of outdoor recreation related positions but I am still searching for the right long term fit. In the meantime I have had the opportunity to explore the national parks and forests in my various backyards and beyond. Now that you know a bit about me I hope you stick around for some more posts! Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me and enjoy the content this site has to offer!
